Changelog
What has changed in Kalondo, newest first.
0.6.1 – 25 October 2026
Changed in this version:
- In Next and Focus, the blue line next to a selected to-do no longer overlaps its drag handle.
0.6.0 – 25 October 2026
New in this version:
- Your own order in Next and Focus: put your to-dos in the order you want. Next and Focus each keep their own order, so Focus can be arranged differently from Next. The Inbox stays oldest first.
- Dragging: every to-do in Next and Focus has a handle on the left (the six dots). Drag it up or down with the mouse, or with your finger on a phone. Click a handle to select a to-do, and Shift+click another handle to select everything in between; dragging one of them moves them all.
- With the keyboard: press Tab to get into the list, and Tab again to leave it in one go. The up and down arrows go through your to-dos, left and right through a to-do's buttons. Alt with the up or down arrow moves the selected to-dos (Option on a Mac), Shift with up or down selects more or fewer, Enter opens the selected to-do and Esc clears the selection. Ctrl+Home and Ctrl+End jump to the first and last to-do.
- Tested with a screen reader: moving to-dos with the keyboard was tested with the Orca screen reader. When you enter the list, it explains the keys; moving to another to-do says its title, and moving one says where it went, like "Moved to position 3 of 7".
- With a tag filter on, a to-do you move lands right next to the one you put it by. The to-dos you don't see keep their order.
- New to-dos, to-dos you move to Next or star, and to-dos you mark as not done go to the bottom. Your lists keep the order they have now.
Changed in this version:
- Screen readers no longer read out the quotes around a to-do's title, or a button's name twice, also in the Inbox.
- The privacy page now says that the order of your to-dos is stored, and that it isn't encrypted.
0.5.1 – 24 October 2026
Changed in this version:
- Changed order of the buttons on the to-do edit screen.
0.5.0 – 24 October 2026
New in this version:
- Tags: give your to-dos tags like "home" or "phone". Add them in a to-do's edit window, or type them with # when you add a new to-do, like "Call the bank #phone". A to-do can have up to 5 tags.
- Your tags show after a to-do's title, and in a bar above Inbox, Next and Focus. Click a tag there to see only the to-dos with that tag. Turn on more tags to see the to-dos with any of them, or All tags for every to-do that has a tag. The numbers on the tabs follow your choice, and the selection you make here will remain in place until you sign out.
- Rename or delete your tags under Tags in your settings. Renaming a tag to the name of another one combines them. Deleting a tag removes it from its to-dos; the to-dos stay.
- A Basic account can have up to 10 tags, a Plus account 25. You can see this in the "Account" section in your settings.
- A house icon at the top of the page takes you back to your start page in one click.
Changed in this version:
- The privacy page explains how tags are stored, and now shows what is encrypted and what isn't under two separate headings.
- Behind the scenes, Kalondo got the latest security updates.
0.4.2 – 23 October 2026
Changed in this version:
- A small change for the admins.
0.4.1 – 19 October 2026
Changed in this version:
- 2 small changes for the admins.
0.4.0 – 19 October 2026
New in this version:
- Feedback: ask a question, report a problem or share a suggestion, right in the app. Choose Feedback in the menu under your name and start a New ticket. The Kalondo team answers there too: everything stays in the app, no email is involved.
- A bell at the top of the page shows when there's something new in your feedback, such as an answer, and in how many tickets.
- Close a ticket when you're done, and reopen it if you need to. Closed tickets you've read are tucked away; Show closed tickets brings them back.
- Stuck verifying your email address? The verification page now lets you send us a message.
- During the beta period, you can create a limited number of new tickets per day. You can see how many in the "Account" section in your settings. Replying is always possible.
Changed in this version:
- The privacy page and the account deletion page now explain feedback: the Kalondo team reads your tickets to answer them, and they stay, no longer linked to you, when you delete your account.
0.3.0 – 18 October 2026
Changed in this version:
- The header now shows a menu when you click on your name (or the person icon on a phone), with the Settings and Sign out options.
0.2.0 – 17 October 2026
New in this version:
- Set how much time you expect a to-do to take, from 5 minutes to 8 hours, and the amount of energy it will take: low, medium or high. Open a to-do to choose them. Your lists show them in short, like "5m med".
Changed in this version:
- The notes icon now sits right after a to-do's title and only shows that the to-do has notes. Open the to-do to read them.
0.1.0 – 17 October 2026
The first numbered version. From now on, every change is listed here.
What Kalondo can do so far:
- Capture to-dos in the Inbox or straight into Next, plan and refine them in Next, and star some to put them into Focus, so those are the ones you'll be working on.
- Add notes to a to-do, as formatted text or in Markdown.
- Light and dark mode, on phones and computers.
- Your to-dos, notes, name and email address are stored encrypted, and nothing is loaded from other websites.
- Set your defaults in the preferences: whether you start in Inbox or Focus after signing in, and whether notes open in Rich text or Markdown.
- Delete your account yourself.
New in this version:
- This changelog.
- A new way of numbering versions: 0.x.y while Kalondo is in beta. x goes up when something is added or changed, y for small fixes.
